This week the federal government for the first time ever held a day-long session hearing scientific and medical presentation on treatments for Gulf War Illness, with extraordinary results. The Congressionally chartered Research Advisory Committee on Gulf War Veterans' Illnesses is meeting at the Boston University School of Public Health to review scientific and medical information on this timely, pressing topic. However, since no members of the media were interested enough in this issue, the only place you'll find news about the day's proceedings is
91 outcomes (
http://91outcomes.blogspot.com), which has EIGHT new articles summarizing each of the Monday's presentations in plain, easy to understand language.
Gulf War veterans aren't getting any news from VA about the issues that matter to them concerning their ongoing, disabling illness, so it's available at
91 outcomes. The blog is neither a for-profit nor a non-profit enterprise. It's a labor of love in order to fill a gaping void in news and information available to the 175,000 to 210,000, or about one-fourth of Gulf War veterans who have been ill and remain ill following our 1991 Gulf War service.
