Arizona's Historic Soldier's Cemetery in Sierra Vista

The remains of 58 soldiers who served in the Arizona Territory during the late 1800s rest in a special recreated 1800s military cemetery at the Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista with the snow covered mountains of Fort Huachuca in the background.

Originally buried in the military cemetery that served Tucson’s Fort Lowell, the remains were uncovered three years ago when work began on a new county courts complex in downtown Tucson.
